	176	KENSUKE:“Yeah, the one they were building in America. It's completed, isn't it?” SHINJI:“I don't know.” KENSUKE; I know you've got to keep it a secret, but please tell me. SHINJI:“I really haven't heard anything!” KENSUKE:“Haven't you heard the rumor that the activation test will be held at the second test facility in Matsushiro?” SHINJI:“I haven't.” KENSUKE:“The pilot hasn't been chosen yet, right?” SHINJI:“I don't know about that stuff.” KENSUKE:“I wish Miss Misato would pick me for it. Hey, Shinji, would you ask her for me too? I want to be an Eva pilot!”	UrsusArctos: It seems like the character development of Episode 03 and 04 has been thrown out the window at this point. And Kensuke should know by know that when Shinji says he doesn't know something, he really means it.
	177	SHINJI:“Really, I don't know.”
	178	KENSUKE:“Then what about the story that Unit 04's been lost?”
	179	SHINJI:“What was that?”
	180	KENSUKE:“You really don't know about that either? It disappeared along with the entire 2nd Branch. I heard my dad's section was in a panic.” SHINJI:“Really?” KENSUKE:“Probably.”	UrsusArctos: Nerv's security continues to leak like a sieve and 14-year-olds continue to hear top secret information. And Kaji really ought to talk to this kid; Kensuke'll save him the trouble snooping around. Dr. Nick: To be fair, this is a legitimate "my dad works at Nintendo" situation.
	181	SHINJI:“I haven't heard anything from Miss Misato.”

	183	KENSUKE:“I guess it doesn't concern pilots out on the line. If she didn't tell you, it's likely because”

	185	KENSUKE:“Sorry about bothering you with weird questions. But Toji sure is taking a long time.”

	188	OLD TEACHER:“the Second Impact and rose again.”	UrsusArctos: Nebukawa-no-sensei is at it again, although we as the audience now know that the public story is a whole load of hogwash.
	189	OLD TEACHER:“The number of children has been decreasing yearly...”	Dr. Nick: Another line that was fodder for early fan theories. Why is the number of children decreasing, as it would be too soon for a post-disaster baby boom to be tapering off just yet? Some fanciful theories took advantage of the very vague nature of Guf in the series and posited that humanity is running out of new souls altogether, and hence the Instrumentality Project is a method of staving off an inevitable apocalypse. But if a plotline like that was ever considered by the creators, it isn't there in the finished product. Or in other words, there's no [Spiral Nemesis] in Evangelion. So yeah, even taking into account things that are intentionally misleading, this one of the more wobblier episodes lore-wise.

	191	OLD TEACHER:“Anyway, it is you,”	UrsusArctos: Hikari really is perceptive here; she can see that something is wrong, and makes up her mind to talk to him about it later.
