UrsusArctos: We're using the old subtitles, hence "Lance". The newer subtitles and dub have corrected it to the proper term seen in End of Evangelion, the Spear of Longinus.


Dr. Nick: Gendo’s "I don't care" is more of his openly villainous dipshittery that pretty much reaches its apex in the next episode with Ritsuko.

UrsusArctos: Judging from the total non-reaction, they probably gave up on keeping the "Giant in Terminal Dogma" a secret from her. But in all probability, Misato's closer connected to the truth than she thinks...

Going back to episode 14, Lilith being skewered is something that Seele wants. And since the Spear is an inhibitor device, it makes sense that Lilith regenerates after it's removed. But an open question remains, why hadn't she regenerated more before the Spear was inserted? Why would an inhibitor device charge her battery so to speak?
