Shiro Sagisu (鷺巣 詩郎) composed the soundtrack for the Evangelion series and movies. He has worked with Gainax and Hideaki Anno before in Nadia: The Secret of Bluewater and later in Kare Kano. Sagisu also composed the soundtrack for Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Bleach, and Macross II, to name a few. Aside from anime, Sagisu also composed soundtracks for films such as Casshern and Jungcheon. From 1999, he released a set of albums, Shiro's Songbook which he also produced.
