Evangelion: The Birthday of Rei Ayanami is a compilation album of music from Neon Genesis Evangelion, released on March 30, 2001 by King Records and the twelfth music album released in the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise. The Birthday of Rei Ayanami has only been released in Japan. It peaked at #45 in the Oricon albums chart upon release. The cover art is drawn by Evangelion character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The album was produced by Kouji Asano and Takashi Tokuhara.

The album features background music and instrumental tracks related to Rei Ayanami as one of the three pilot protagonists of Evangelion, including new recordings of "A Cruel Angel's Thesis", "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Soul's Refrain" performed by Rei's seiyu Megumi Hayashibara as "Rei Ayanami versions" of these songs.

The Birthday of Rei Ayanami was released on March 30, 2001 in Japan, Megumi Hayashibara's 34th birthday. Though almost Evangelion characters have the same birthday as their voice actors, Rei's canonical birthday remains unconfirmed.
