Die Sterne (German for "the stars") is a Gainax artbook published by Kadokawa Shoten. It contains over a hundred pages of full-color illustrations by original character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto and other artists including Kazuya Tsurumaki, Takeshi Honda, and Ikuto Yamashita. There is a second edition, Die Sterne Ver.2.0 that was released in 2007, which is "oversized" (12.9 x 10.2 x 0.6 in.) and contains all the art from the original plus an additional 75 new illustrations.
