The Additional Impact is an event that takes place in Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0, orchestrated by Gendo Ikari and featuring the four Nerv battleships generating wings of light in the same manner as the Adams in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy's version of Second Impact. Additional Impact leads to an Anti-Universe where human perception is dictated by memories and imagination, and represents Gendo's attempt at creating a version of Instrumentality where he can coexist with his lost wife Yui. Additional Impact comes to a close when Misato Katsuragi sacrifices herself and uses the AAA Wunder to send Shinji the Spear of Gaius.
