Simulation bodies have torsoes, so if the right arm was clear, it was just an aberration. Shinji doesn't mention anything in particular, does he? Leave it at that. Is it just the missing limbs? How do they synch? Missing limbs might be a factor, but the fact remains that they are different from regular Evas and we can't say for sure how. No need to add anything other than what is necessary. --[[User:UrsusArctos|UrsusArctos]] 17:53, 3 January 2008 (PST)

:That's just Asuka's speech-pattern; I mean it would sound odd for her to say "well the missing limbs feel numb but my torso and right arm feel fine" (no matter how convenient it would be for us, actually trying to make sense of it...) I think that's just how the line is delivered.  At any rate, the page is pretty good now:  as for explaining how they synch, I put the best plausible explanation in the Notes section: we see the real Eva-00 turning on, so it seems they're connected to the real Evas somehow (I can't think of a better way to phrase it than I already did in the article.  I think it doesn't really need much more now.  --[[User:V|V]] 17:57, 3 January 2008 (PST)

How does Rei manage to raise the arm on her simulation body before it is connected to Eva 00- is it a quirk of her being the soul of Lilith, or can the other pilots try moving the arms? And did Ireul raise that arm after all? When Bardiel and Armisael merge with Eva 00, they show the same "vein network" motif. Ireul doesn't seem to be merging the way they do, and it's barely gotten on the simulation body when it starts moving.

Is it tugging at its restraints like Eva 00? Why is Ritsuko just staring out there when the glass is going to shatter? Ritsuko and Misato were standing right next to each other when Rei screamed and the body started moving, and that was Ritsuko who blew the arm off. Something in here is fishy- if that was the Eva trying to hit Ritsuko via the simulation body, and not the attacking angel, Ritsuko's behavior makes a lot more sense.

The next we see of Rei is her introspective poem, followed by Eva 00 unmistakably going wild. Did she come to some sort of understanding in those brief seconds-either Eva or Ireul influenced, that caused her to introspect?

I still think there's more to Ireul and those simulation bodies than meets the eye. --UrsusArctos 05:29, 5 August 2007 (EDT)

No. As for how the Simulation bodies work, they're not clear, but apparently the Eva pilots can move the arms around a bit, though their real function is to turn the A.T. Field of the real Evangelions on. When Ireul infected and took the Simluation bodies over, it tried to attack the control box, so Ritsuko blew the arm off. As for why Ritsuko and Misato are moving around the way they are, that's just economy of animation; bits of this scene seem reused from Episode 05. I don't know why you thought it special that Rei could move her simulation bodies arms; Ritsuko told her to go first, and thus she was the only one moving. It's "tugging at its restraints like Eva 00" only in the same sense that they're both "out of control". Ostensibly I think Ritsuko is just staring in disbelief because she is really pissed off at what's happening. I do not see why you think the Eva is attacking Ritsuko, when it is clearly infected with an Angel. Rei's introspective poem has nothing to do with the events of this episode. Only Eva 00 went wild next episode, Rei was in Eva 01. --V 05:37, 5 August 2007 (EDT)

Missing limbs

Asuka says "The rest of my body is fuzzy but my right arm is clear" Ristuko "Rei, focus on moving the right arm." Simulation bodies have torsoes, so if the right arm was clear, it was just an aberration. Shinji doesn't mention anything in particular, does he? Leave it at that. Is it just the missing limbs? How do they synch? Missing limbs might be a factor, but the fact remains that they are different from regular Evas and we can't say for sure how. No need to add anything other than what is necessary. --UrsusArctos 17:53, 3 January 2008 (PST)
