Adam's Core

"The unusual darkness of Adam's core might indicate that Adam's soul is no longer present inside, or it might be symbolic of extreme power, as seen in The End of Evangelion. The Lilith superbeing in The End of Evangelion first appears in Rei's form, with glowing skin and dark eyes while herself being in a state of extreme power."

First off, I think the dark eyes are most simply associated with a "state of intensity". Consider: Seeds are associated with extreme paleness, and we see both of them eyes with their eyes going black at some point. Evas are swarthy, and their eyes glow white in states of intensity. "Inverse colors", and all. ("Glowing skin" is nothing special for Lilith; her skin always had a glowy aura to it.)

As for the "black core", the area indicated by the black doesn't really take up as much space as a core should, and things look especially "funny" in #12 (wherein Adam is drawn considerably better than she is in the OP). I analyze what the "black core" could possibly indicate in this thread. I definitely don't think Adam's soul goes anywhere until she actually blows up. --Reichu 07:30, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Please alter this then you seem to have a better grasp of it. --V 10:59, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Souls

Those are not Angel souls; those are the souls of the humans from the Katsuragi Expedition. thewayneiac Aug. 02, 2007 22:20 EDT.

Oh....how did you arrive at that conclusion? (I believe you I just want to know). Can you write that into the article here (formally and crud). Thanks. --V 22:33, 2 August 2007 (EDT)
Adam unleashed an AATF, which had the ultimate effect of destroying the bodies of the Katsuragi Team members and everyone else in the vicinity of the South Pole. "The complete annihilation of all life, down to microorganisms." The souls of Angels actually went into Angels like they were supposed to, hence why we have Angels mysteriously "waking up" 15 years after Adam opened her Doors of Guf. ~~----
When you say "went to the Angels"....where were the other Angels? --V 11:01, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Adam's Pylons

"The shoulder pylons are artificial, similar to the ones seen on the Evangelions. A photograph of the Katsuragi expedition digging up Adam(seen in the extended opening) shows Adam lying on her back, skewered on the lance, and lacking shoulder pylons." -- I'm parking this here until we can get picture evidence. --V 23:16, 2 August 2007 (EDT)

Below is the link to the image in question, Reichu uploaded it for use on the Adam page.

Okay I'll update it to say "as evidenced by a pic of Adam from episode 23..."--V 11:00, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Sahaquiel's A.T. Field

There's one oddity that I bolded it in the text, and now I've reworded it for the time being. Does Rei actually cut Sahaquiel's AT field with the progressive knife, or does she cut a transparent membrane in front of the core? I thought Sahaquiel's field had been overwhelmed and the Evas actually pushed the angel upwards at that moment. A prog knife might penetrate an AT field, but how could it make a lasting cut in it? The Eva's hands, of course, are a wholly different matter.

^ Not signed? Anyway, I checked the script, and it does indeed say the knife is cutting the A.T. Field specifically. (It uses a comparison to a "curtain" again like it did in #02.) --Reichu 07:19, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

3rd Ashinoko lake?

They mention that if Sahaquiel lands it will create the "third" Ashinoko lake; what is the second one? (I try to keep track of the number of huge impact craters they keep getting as more Angels explode). --V 09:16, 4 August 2007 (EDT)

The second is the gaping hole left when Israfel exploded. --UrsusArctos 10:13, 4 August 2007 (EDT)
