MAN A:“If humans do not redeem themselves willingly, they will not change.”

MAN B:“We will not rely on the powers of Adam or the Angels.”

KEEL:“Our only choice is to make changes with our own hands for the future.”

dzzthink: It is interesting that they mention that they won't be using the Angels, which suggests that Kaworu was just a pawn in their wider plan.

UrsusArctos: Unsurprisingly so, since Kaworu was meant to be the final Angel to be killed. The entire thing about not relying on the powers of Adam or the Angels seems hypocritical since the Evas have those very same powers. The line makes sense if it's a reference to Second Impact - perhaps Seele's original scenario for Second Impact was to take over Adam and achieve instrumentality using Adam. That clearly didn't go as planned, which makes Third Impact a do-over from Seele's previous failure at evolving humanity.

thewayneiac: On air version:

Man A: "It's all going according to plan."

Keel: "Ikari, you were a good friend, a comrade who shared our aspirations, and a collaborator who understood. This is your final task."
