Near Third Impact is an incident that occurred in the wake of the Tenth Angel's defeat, resulting in the destruction of Tokyo-3 and Evangelion Unit-01's almost complete transformation into an energy being capable of destroying and recreating all life on Earth. It was stopped by Kaworu Nagisa in Eva-06 impaling Eva-01 from above with a spear-like weapon.
