Cruel Angel's Thesis

A Cruel Angel's Thesis is the theme song of the anime series of Neon Genesis Evangelion and is featured in every episode of the series. It is sung by Yoko Takahashi.

Summary

A Cruel Angel's Thesis is located within the J-Pop or Upbeat genre, and was released as a single on October 25, 1995. A refined Bold textversion of the song was released in March 26, 2003 and the length is about 4:05 minutes. The lyrics were composited by Neko Oikawa and the music was produced by Hidetoshi Sato. Instrumental versions of the song are featured in the last episode of Evangelion-"Take Care of Yourself.

Three versions of the song have been produced, and one named "A Cruel Angel's Thesis A.D 2001" was released while the other, "Cruel Angel's Thesis San Nin" both feature the three seiyuu in Evangelion- Megumi Hayashibara, Yuko Miyamura, and Kotono Mitsuishi, who are the voice actors for Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley-Soryu and Misato Katsuragi, respectively.
