I wrote this, but I'm not sure if the line of thought should go here or not. Pasting for people's thoughts:
- In Episode 22, the Angel Arael appears to initially target Kyoko for psychological probing, implied directly by Ritsuko's instructions to "Shut out the feedback from the Eva." This may explain Kaworu's words in 24 about how Eva-02 has "shut her soul away".
