:It isn't just Buddhist, it's also Hindu, BTW. The second-tier Gods and Goddesses, mostly the latter, have 108 names. They are just below the top rung deities, the select few which have a full 1000 names. - It isn't just Buddhist, it's also Hindu, BTW. The second-tier Gods and Goddesses, mostly the latter, have 108 names.
