	084	Shinji’s capsule, seen through the warped glasses. AOBA (OFF - SPEAKER):“9 hours and 55 minutes until the enemy shield arrives.”	Kendrix: Another elaborate perspective cut with the glasses. This time, Shinji isn't behind, but infront of them. Note that the perspective cut leads us through the other, less-cracked glass here. Maybe this time, it's not Shinji trying to see Rei through Gendo's perspective, but Rei trying to see Shinji through Gendo's perspective. At this point, the main connection between the two is Gendo, and their different connections to this man are a huge part of what makes them intrested in each other. (Compare the escalator scene: "You are Commander Ikari's child, aren't you? Dont you have any faith in him?" etc. The question about faith implies that she thought about their connection. ) Following my interpretationthat these shots are meant to show us that Rei is also wondering/thinking/curious about her fellow pilot, even if she is even more passive than Shinji.
