'Thanatos' is an Evangelion: End of Evangelion CD Single released in Japan on the 8th of January, 1997 on re-released on May 24, 2006. Published by Starchild, it consists of 5 tracks, one karaoke.

The background theme used for Neon Genesis Evangelion was performed by the Eminence Orchestra and conducted and composed by Shiro Sagisu. The theme was produced by Hideaki Anno.
