::::I think it was pretty clear it was the Angel's infection, given that even the ''severed'' arm then showed signs of infection when it was floating around.  The infection spread to the simulation bodies but wasn't apparent yet, then it started moving, Ritsuko blew the arm off, and then the infection became apparent.  --[[User:V|V]] 11:47, 6 August 2007 (EDT)

Long summary is looooooooooong. --Reichu 10:35, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Yes, I was actually watching it on VLC, pausing to write, and watching again. That's why it's so long. I plan to let it stay long- I've bunched together Notes and Analysis till I can figure out which belongs where. Did you see what I noticed about Rei's body moving?--UrsusArctos 21:32, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Notes and Analysis have been separated: the summary will be soon be pruned.--UrsusArctos 22:02, 3 August 2007 (EDT)

Hi res shot needed

Right after they say "change Magi back to normal" but before "dilemma" pops up, a screen flashes behind Misato which is too quick for me to read; need a high resolution freeze frame of that. --V 04:00, 5 August 2007 (EDT)

Rei's simulation body

Okay, I think the confusing part was that Rei's simulation body goes out of control before the infection obviously spreads that far, but given that even the severed arm immediately afterwards shows signs of infection, I think the point was that the Angel infected the simulation bodies, but it took a few moments for them to realize that. It is, after all, microscopic and hard to detect--V 06:22, 5 August 2007 (EDT)

Right, I guess that we'll chalk that up to Ireul for the time being. But I remember Bardiel and Armisael using what looked like a "network of nerves" to merge with the body, Bardiel taking over the nerve circuits and Armisael actually fusing itself with the Eva. Ireul isn't visibly fusing with the bodies, although he did pick the moment the body and the Eva connected to try to spread.
Whatever made it move- Ireul itself, or Eva 00 trying to free its pilot from Ireul, I get the distinct impression it was aiming for Ritsuko. (I have to admit, that's one hell of a smart angel, though. No wonder it wanted Rei)--UrsusArctos 22:41, 5 August 2007 (EDT)
What gave you the impression it was trying to "Free it's pilot"?--V 08:44, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
By that I meant if it couldn't shoot out the entry plug on the simulation body, wrench the body away from those pipes and get the hell away from that angel...although that would be a hell of a feat with one hand and no legs.
Excuse me, I was in a moment of excessive nutzoid thinking when I entered that...forget the idea of the Eva trying to save its pilot, but I think the idea that Eva 00 was indeed responsible for moving that body still has room for plausibility. --UrsusArctos 09:42, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
