Limiters (or restrictors) are control rod-like devices embedded in the upper arms and back of an Eva unit in the Rebuild continuity. They seem to play a role similar to the "restraints" in the original, in inhibiting the Evas' innate power. Eva-02 is shown ejecting its limiters to enter Beast Mode, and Eva-01's are said to "vanish" (??) after it reactivates against the Tenth Angel.
