UrsusArctos: There's a truly enormous amount of detail in animating the different bits coming off as Eva-02's decapitated head is sent airborne. Although the severed neck is consistent with the stump on the decapitated body seen later, it seems strange that Eva-02 lacks a trachea and esopahgus after their appearance on the Evangelion Biological Listing. Proof that "combat-specialized" Eva-02 is an anatomical freak (EoE reveals she has intestines, plain as day, so she has a digestive tract), or just an attempt to cut out gratuitous gore?
