UrsusArctos: For those paying attention to the cut numbers, it seems that the clip show/recap was originally meant to be Part B of the episode and Part A would start with Rei's monologue. At some time in the production process, this got flipped, hence the episode's first half is the clip show, but it still begins with Cut 131A.
