Plot convenience aside, it makes me wonder why Misato didn't ask Ritsuko about creating the Magi system sooner than this? Or how she didn't know that the Magi were created by Naoko to begin with, since Episode 21 suggests that Naoko's involvement with Gehirn was public knowledge?
