I wonder?”	UrsusArctos: Judging from the cut number, 193, it was between 192 and 193-2, hence the brief inclusion of one of Gendo's hands right when he's about to manually launch the Evas. I suspect that Cuts 168-172 were repurposed and meant to take place around the position of those two cuts, but were added back as 173-177, with 193 being included later (a production oversight, perhaps?) Perhaps they reordered the cuts to clean up the narrative, but the number juggling here gives an insight into the editing of an old traditionally produced anime.
