Zusuchan: Sandalphon is like a newborn trying to feed on Asuka (thinking she/Unit-02 are its mother perhaps), but Asuka instead kills it by "feeding" it the cooling liquid, because Anno likes his nice metaphors.
UrsusArctos: It's fitting that the Angel of the Unborn is an infant in its oral stage of development while still inside its volcanic "womb". Asuka's in Eva-02, which is a copy of Sandalphon's mother Adam, so it's no surprise that the baby Angel is confused. Puir wee thing.
