"Bardiel originally appeared as a cloud-like form...": I know the implications of the cloud and the lightning and all, but are things this clear-cut? I wonder if my resources say anything worthwhile...

A distinction between Bardiel and EVA-03 can be made: Bardiel is technically the greyish glop / veinous stuff -- official materials liken it to a sticky fungus, or something along those lines. I'll try to find the actual citation sometime... --Reichu 17:00, 11 August 2007 (EDT)
