Third Angel”	UrsusArctos: For those paying attention to the cut numbers, it seems that the clip show/recap was originally meant to be Part B of the episode and Part A would start with Rei's monologue. At some time in the production process, this got flipped, hence the episode's first half is the clip show, but it still begins with Cut 131A. Zusuchan: Honestly one of the most consistently underrated episodes of the series. For my money, this is the episode where you can really see Eva's descent into psychological introspection truly starting, rather than episode 16-and the entire latter half of this episode is truly wonderful.

Dr. Nick: Considering what a wobbly production this show was, I'm lowkey amazed there's only half an episode of recap filler. (I don't count Death as it's a different sort of animal; compilation films are a sign of success rather than a result of a crunch.)
