Now we get a much clearer view of Sachiel's damaged face. The cracking seems to imply that these are layers of ossified tissue, the underlying three or four of which have become exposed (the bottom-most being crimson-colored). Also, it's now apparent that far from just having "holes" in his face, Sachiel does have actual eyes in there. It's kind of odd that his optical organs double as implements of massive energy projection, but, hey, since when did giant, green, rampaging monsters have to make sense? | |||
