I don't exactly recall ''when'' I first heard of Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I do slightly remeber how, a friend in the ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' community mentioned it. Eva and Me
I don't exactly recall when I first heard of Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I do slightly remeber how, a friend in the Sonic the Hedgehog community mentioned it. Eva sounded interesting, so I started looking up stuff about it, and eventually started acquring the series. Suffice to say, I was hooked.
At first, it was the Evas which interested me: giant robots that actually were not, but as I watched, the characters and the eventual downward spiral got me as well, although the Evas (and Angels) are still my favorite thing. It was pretty awesome.
Eventually, I joined AnimeNation and started hanging around the Eva board. And pretty soon, I heard about the Fan Geeks Commentary. I did a few comments in the commentary for the first episode, but none of them were really final cut material. Eventually I was tasked on compiling a list of references that were mentioned in it, I listed them up to the point where the commentary halted. And then sometime after/during, I was tasked to transcribe the Commentary of Evil, but it took sometime before I was actually able to do so, and by then, the creation of EGF had begun. We'll see if I can continue the transcribing someday, if it's even necessary.
And eventually, V started recruiting more Evapedia editors, and now I'm here, ready to pounce on grammatical and spelling errors and do some surprise expanding like most gnomes do.
I also do/have done some Eva fanart and fanfiction, but that's probably not something that will concern Evapedia.
