Me and My Eva

I was introduced to the beast known as Neon Genesis Evangelion one fateful day early in the year of 2007. Ever since I have been devoted to understanding what is - currently - the single greatest piece of art I've ever witnessed. I've graduated from a completely befuddled and confused n00b to a slightly less befuddled and confused amateur. Much thanks to those big brained folks at Eva Monkey Forums and Anime Nation Forums (a special thanks to the Grand Mistress herself, Reichu).

I have tried, in my own way, to make contributions to the understanding of NGE. Though I pray everyone forgets my initial muddled interpretations of Second and Third Impact (among other things). I very much enjoy analyzing NGE for its artistic value - getting inside Anno-sama's brain to figure out just what he meant with every scene and line. It's perhaps sad that I understand his "message" about dealing with depression and life better than most. I can say I went through something very similar to his depression and in that way, I connected with NGE on the deepest level. It's likely the biggest reason why, as of yet, no other artistic work has had as big an impact on me emotionally (and very few intellectually) as NGE.

I was called upon - for whatever reason - to work on Eva Wiki as a scribe. My nil knowledge of Wiki combined with my limited knowledge of NGE mean that I'm the perfect candidate for... something. So when all of my articles smell like moist ass, you can blame Reichu for having faith in me.

Like most good US of A-ers I'm a pure blood mutt. My great grandfather was full blood Native American but somewhere in the line there was an Irishman, so I look more like Conan O'Brien than Tonto... though not nearly as tall, and my hair isn't quite as weird. I am, however, pale as a ghost and could likely scare little children if I tried.

For a living I sell on eBay and spend my nights playing online poker taking chumps for all their worth. This means I'm on the computer way more than any human being should be. I break the monotonous of being online as a business by posting on various forums around the interweb about various things. When not "working" you'll find me watching films, anime (series and films), listening to music on my oh-so-sweet high end audio system, or reading. Call me an art geek; A full on music geek, semi film and anime geek, and only amateur literary geek. I also play guitar (badly) and compose music (even worse).

I also like long walks on the beach and staring longingly into someone's eyes (preferably of the opposite sex)... Although there's no beaches for a good 500 miles and I have no one to creepily stare at.
