Template talk:Original

Ironfoot: Our site is a bit different from something from Wikipedia. If we put their brand of "original research" off limits in articles, we'd be kind of "boned". Which is why we don't. That said, this template is a bit ambiguous about exactly what it is referring to, and how it's meant to differ from the "unreferenced" template.

The closest analog to "original research" in our sphere is IMO using the Wiki pages as a "sandbox" for speculation you're posting for the first time. I remember V making this entire page embellishing Sequel Theory, and it wasn't a compilation of the same old bullshit we'd all heard before -- it was stuff he'd made up for the article itself.

Anyway, please elaborate upon the intent of this template before using it further. Thanks. --Reichu 14:29, 16 April 2009 (PDT)
