This is sort of a follow-up to off-topic discussion in the Character Thread. (Damn that Dr. K, always causing trouble...)

Attempting to directly compare the first CE to the second two is a rather tenuous undertaking, IMO. There are some rather glaring differences. For one thing, Adam already had a soul; this wasn't part of Gehirn's research into trying to create "artificial souls" because the Evas aren't born with them. It seemed to be about physical contact between Adam and Lilim more than anything else, and, feasibly, the only thing the "donor" was "donating" was DNA. I don't think there's justification for anything beyond that, myself. --Reichu 12:11, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Is there anything specifically stating that Yui gained a 400% sync ratio with Unit-01 to be absorbed into it? I know that's how Shinji was absorbed, but since there was no soul in Eva-01 before Yui's CE, there was no soul *for* her to synchronize with, so I don't think that needs to be said in the article. --Duke 12:47 PM, 15 August 2010.
