UrsusArctos: Interestingly, this is one of the only times in the entire Evangelion franchise that we see a character's name (Asuka in this case) written in Kanji, as opposed to Katakana. Was this an oversight? Was this a tip o' the hat to Shinji Wada's Cho-Shoujo Asuka? Was this meant to mark the alternative universe as entirely different from the one we knew? It's pretty mysterious.
