dzzthink: These flowers seem to represent Rei's view of herself and her clones, in the way she mentions they are abundant and unnecessary. The association of water with commander Ikari seems to suggest she is dependent on Gendo for survival. The poem is definitely filled with Rei's perspectives on many things, I think the Evageeks wiki has a page on this (Editor's Note: Yes, although it could be improved) but I feel there is still a lot of mysteries.
