Kendrix: In the 2000s (German) dub this was “Do you like hopscotch?” I was very disappointed that this joke wasn’t in the OG script. If it were Shinji alone, I think he would’ve cared more about the property image, but he might not have had the boldness to just go & jump. (if he could even have done that at this point) Ultimately, they needed to get to that cable FAST because they’re facing an apocalyptic threat.
