FreakyFilmFan4ever: It hit me one day that life and art imitated each other in a big way in this Episode 7. Specifically, it deals with NERV and Jet Alone's little competition and how it was similar to the U.S. CALF project back in the 90's. I firmly believe this imitation was no one's intention, but the similarities are just way too striking for me not to comment on them in the next episode.
