Is this category supposed to relate to the Wanted Pages special page (which lists all of the intra-wiki links that hasn't yet had a page created for it)? --Ornette (talk) 17:21, 28 January 2014 (EST)
- Shouldn't dead links mean dead links to external sites, rather than wanted Wiki pages? And it's funny, because the only external link on Asuka's page is the Eva Monkey link, which works just fine. This is peculiar. --UrsusArctos (talk) 00:30, 29 January 2014 (EST)
- Okay, there's more double redirects and broken redirects on this wiki than I can shake a Spear of Longinus at. Most of the wanted pages are just single links to relationship analysis pages that were never made, pages for staff and companies, and maybe a few discussion pages that nobody has filled in (Funny that those should be counted). There are a whole lot of links to games and concept art books which we need more knowledgeable users to fill in, and even a few "huh?" ones, like a link for "Tadaima" ("I'm home"). --UrsusArctos (talk) 00:44, 29 January 2014 (EST)
- A link appears on the "Wanted" page anytime someone uses the square brackets to create a wiki link. This is encouraged, even if the page doesn't exist, as long as the author of the page with the link thinks the link is worthwhile (like to a staff member, or song, a video game, etc. that's related to the article). The more of these links across the wiki, the more "Wanted" such a page is. The link can be anything, foo bar for example. Since there's no article named "foo bar", it appears in the wanted pages. If you go through the wanted pages and see a bunch of trash links, click on the link to see what articles are creating those links and simply unlink them. --Ornette (talk) 02:31, 29 January 2014 (EST)
