Why the heck do you call it "Roman Bath"?--V 03:09, 2 September 2007 (EDT)

Suicide by opening a vein and immersing oneself in a warm bath (to prevent coagulation and closure of the wound) was a well-attested practice in Roman times, typically resorted to by those on the losing side of a political conflict, or those who had incured the wrath of the emperor, and were offered the option of taking the honorable way out (thereby sparing their families). I know what the act is, but I have never heard that expression and it's not in any online dictionaries (and I am a Roman civ minor). The name just seems really odd.--V 18:07, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
A boring, descriptive title like "Asuka and the Bathtub" would be better. "Roman bath", used in reference to Asuka's (purported) suicide attempt, is fan slang I helped perpetuate. --Reichu 18:45, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
Well, I put the ? next to the title intentionally (e.g: So did she or didn't she?; analysis follows), but if you feel a boring title's actually better, I guess it should be changed then (I have no idea how to do that unfortunately). --Sailor Star Dust 14:10, 3 September 2007 (EDT)
You use the "Move" tab. I think "normies" have access to that. --Reichu 16:11, 3 September 2007 (EDT)
