Aside from Evangelion, Masayuki was the character designer for the Macross Plus series, has worked on several other Gainax works such as FLCL, Diebuster (Aim for the Top 2), and Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann. He will be helping with directing the first of the 4 Rebuild of Evangelion movies.
