|comment=}} | |comment=I'm pretty certain that this has been brought up before, but the way that Unit 01's 'eye slits' are depicted throughout the series baffles me. In some scenes they appear to be actual slit-shaped holes in the helmet, while in other scenes they merely appear to be painted markings or digital displays. But in this particular cut, we see the slits widening and narrowing, implying that they represent the Eva's real eyes. And in the following cut, we see the Eva's green pupils exposed through the helmet, something that hasn't been depicted before. It's probably just an aesthetic choice, but all this leads one to wonder what exactly is going on in that particular portion of her helmet.}} | ||
