KEEL (OFF):“This incident deviated slightly from our script.”

UrsusArctos: Damn Kiel and his vagueness, this makes me wonder what the original scenario for encountering Gaghiel was. He doesn't seem remotely interested in why that scenario went wayward, although he and the committee would blow their collective stacks if they found out the reason for the deviation.

265

IKARI (OFF):“Nevertheless, the result was within the projected parameters.”

IKARI (OFF):“We can make the necessary adjustments.”

COMMITTEEMAN ? (OFF):“The UN Navy lost a third of its entire fleet in this encounter.”

COMMITTEEMAN ? (OFF):“Those ships belonged to your country. In reality, it's a trivial loss.”

COMMITTEEMAN ? (OFF):“Indeed, it's quite fortunate that the damage was so minor.”

UrsusArctos: The implication is that the lost ships were all from the US Navy but the destroyer so prominently sunk is Japanese. They're not making that much sense, on top of being pretty damn callous about the loss of life.
