Whether the real Adam is in that briefcase or somewhere else (*cough, cough*) at this moment is an open question.
Dr. Nick: Here we are also getting into those lore parts that have always remained quite murky, i.e. what are the exact "recipes" for the 3I scenarios desired by Gendo and Seele respectively, and how do they differ in specifics. We know that the spears are security devices for subduing progenitor entities, but that's about it. So what purpose does it serve to have Rei skewer Lilith's soulless body at this juncture?
