230

ASUKA:“What's going on?!”

231

232

RITSUKO:“Not good! It's started to emerge!”

233

RITSUKO (OFF):“It's much earlier than we predicted!”

234

235

MISATO:“Status of the cage?!”

HYUGA:“No way it can hold!”

236

237

MISATO:“Abort the capture! Jettison the cage!”

238

239

240

241

MISATO (OFF):“We're changing the operation! Destroying the Angel is now top priority! Unit 02, prepare for combat as you withdraw!”

242

ASUKA:“What I've been waiting for!”

243

244

245

246

247

ASUKA:“Damn, I forgot I dropped the knife! It's right in front!”

248

249

ASUKA:“Releasing ballast!”

250

251

252

ASUKA:“It's fast!”

253

ASUKA (OFF):“This is bad. I've lost sight of it.”

254

ASUKA:“In addition to that, I've got lousy visibility, I'm really hot, and this suit's plastered to me and feels disgusting. This really sucks.”

MISATO (OFF):“Asuka!”

255

MISATO:“We'll take this chance to drop you Unit 01's knife. Catch it!”

256

ASUKA:“Roger!”

257

ASUKA (OFF):“Oh, no!”

258

ASUKA:“Have you dropped it yet, Shinji?”

259

UrsusArctos: In the last image it looks like the Eva's eyes are closed in a grimace. That's gotta be a first!

260

261

WOMAN (OFF):“Contact with knife, 40 seconds.”

262

HYUGA (OFF):“The Angel is approaching rapidly!”

UrsusArctos: 'QAPLA!!! Sandalphon looks like a Klingon Bird of Prey approaching in this shot. Gaghiel's design seemed to take after the Romulan Warbird and the Enterprise-D is referred to on one of the crates in Episode 05, so I suspect that the Star Trek reference was entirely intentional for our beloved Anomalocaris wannabe. To be, or not to be, as the late Christopher Plummer would've said!

263

ASUKA:“No! Go away! Hurry up with it!”

264

ASUKA (OFF):“Come on,”

265

ASUKA (OFF):“it's too slow!”

266

Pluto: The angel is a bit difficult to see but there's a full 3D model in the Nintendo 64 game in which you can easily view it in the model viewer option.

UrsusArctos: There are numerous scenes in the home video releases where the colors and lighting have been significantly darkened over the version aired on TV. I suspect something of the sort happened here, because it's difficult to make out much detail with Sandalphon.
