Reichu: “Lance of light” (hikari no yari) is aninteresting way to refer to Sachiel's attack here… In actuality, the “lance” is Sachiel's ulna (or a homologous structure, anyway). The end that is used to attack is normally withdrawn into his arm, with the “elbow” end protruding spike-like, but the entire bone can be shot forward through an orifice in his palm. (Sachiel doesn't have wrists, presumably because of the complications they'd pose tothis system.) The range of the ulna, and the degree of damage it is capable of, is amplified by that pinkish energy — hence, “lance of light”. We'll see this attack up-close and personal later on.
