Here's a link to a thread where the Misato/Shinji business is extensively debated so you an get both sides. [1] For me, the key piece of evidence is that in EP. 25, during the sequence where everyone is telling her what a dirty slut she is they flash back to her taking his hand in Ep 23. Also, I don't know if you're a sub or a dub fan, but this is one of the cases where the dub blows the translation. In Japanese she says, "This is all I can do for you." In the dub, ADV changes it to "I want you to know that I'm here for you." This makes it more difficult to understand where shes coming from. I need to login more. A while back I went through two threads on the Misato-Shinji business, and then I watched episode 25 over again (which was pretty much the deciding factor, the "clues" were obvious). Now I go by the interpretation that you supplied on the ep. 24 page. I was going to write up a big thing on it, where I would put all the information together from both sides (and I thought of something strange a long the way)...but I think I'll just let this rest.
