Creation

Unit-01 is the second Evangelion completed, and the first to be tested in combat against the Angels.

Purpose

Ostensibly, like all the Evangelions, Unit-01's stated purpose is to defend Tokyo-3 and the whole world from the Angel threat.

Abilities

In addition to incredible size and strength, Unit-01, like all Evangelions, possesses the ability to generate an AT Field. Unit-01 does not possess an S^2 organ, and relies on electrical power supplied via its Umbilical Cable, and Internal Batteries
