	275		Frogatr: What a ghastly mouth Sandalphon has for such a cute outward appearance. (In my opinion of course, lookit his googly eyes!) UrsusArctos: Sandalphon is based off the ancient predator Anomalocaris canadensis, whose fossil remains were dug up in the Canadian Burgess Shale. The mouth, wrongly associated with Anomalocaris, has since turned out to belong to another species, Peytoia nathorsti, but this is completely accurate to the state of scientific knowledge in 1995. Somebody on the Evangelion staff loved prehistoric animals, and yes, both the ghastly mouth and googly eyes really existed hundreds of millions of years ago!
	276		Zusuchan: Sandalphon is like a newborn trying to feed on Asuka (thinking she/Unit-02 are its mother perhaps), but Asuka instead kills it by "feeding" it the cooling liquid, because Anno likes his nice metaphors. UrsusArctos: It's fitting that the Angel of the Unborn is an infant in its oral stage of development while still inside its volcanic "womb". Asuka's in Eva-02, which is a copy of Sandalphon's mother Adam, so it's no surprise that the baby Angel is confused. Puir wee thing.

	324		Mr. Tines: But this time Yui magic is invoked to save the day. Dr. Nick: Besides, Shinji is probably toughened a bit, having been boiled once already inside the entry plug.
	325	ASUKA:“Idiot, don't go overboard.”	Zusuchan: Asuka is actually impressed and touched! This is one of those times when Shinji does something she quite likes and her tough exterior cracks for a while (though thinking she's gonna die might have played a part too). dzzthink: In contrast to the beginning where Asuka is looking down (metaphorically and physically) at Shinji, she is now looking up to him. Similarly, she also opens up to Misato in the hot springs (341). In a way, Asuka could have had some more emotional character development and softened up to her roommates in a good way if the series went a different path.
