Reichu: While they go for all-out virtual reality here, the simulation is somewhat more underwhelming in the manga, where Sachiel and the buildings look like relics of clunky polygon video games (e.g., "Star Fox"). HeWhoPostsStuff: But if that were the case, then Shinji would have to read an onscreen display of what Misato and Ritsuko were telling him, since their voices would only be heard as funny-sounding gibberish, thanks to the limits of the Evangelion's 16-bit technology.
