Nerv is sending these grand, majestic Evangelions — piloted by children in their early teens — intouncertain battle with all of the confidence that they can muster. I suppose, despite appearances, there really is an aspect of terror involved, in that they are fighting something they don't understand, using something they understand just as little, and there are no guarantees. }}
