Tokyo-2 is the current capital of Japan in 2015, where the government relocated after the destruction of Old Tokyo by a nuclear bomb in the wars following Second Impact in 2000. Tokyo-2 was built in the location of former Matsumoto City in Nagano prefecture. Construction began in 2001, and by early 2003 it had become the functional new capital city of the country.
