The RS Hoppers[1] are four mobile drones that service Evangelion 13 in Evangelion 3.0.
The hoppers are initially stored inside containers attached to Eva-13's shoulder pylons and are released when Eva-02 attacks using its A.T. Field. Each unit deploys it own A.T. Field both defensively and offensively. The movements of the drones appears to be mostly automatic, but they seem to respond to the emotional state of the pilot, as well.
When deployed, the hoppers appear as vaguely elliptical floating drones. Their bodies are composed of an unidentified semi-translucent material with several light blue tendrils trailing behind them. These tendrils billow and contract behind the hoppers as they move, similar to the tentacles of a jellyfish. At the centre of the body of each drone is a circular metal object, similar to the core block of a Evangelion Mark.04 drone. The hoppers take on a more mechanical form similar to rounded cylinders when deploying an AT Field, as well as shortly before their defeat.
All four units are ultimately destroyed by Eva-02.
