Misato Katsuragi's apartment is where Misato is free to be her true, more relaxed self around the Children amongst others. During episode 1 only Misato and Pen2 lived here, and as a result the place was a tip. During episode 2 Shinji moves in. During episode 9 Asuka moves in.
