Evangelion is a Japanese work, made by Japanese geeks for a Japanese audience. None of us really matter except as an additional source of revenue: Ultimately, we're just a bunch of gaijin (= somewhat degrading word for "foreigner") looking in. The original Japanese audio can be dubbed over and all, but, really, if you're serious about your geekdom (and why are you here if you're not?) you won't bother with that. You'll take this as an opportunity to expand your cultural horizons, instead -- right? Right?
